Texting

Question: What are your thoughts when you enter a room and the person in that room stops texting and puts their phone up? What about when they face their phone down so you can't see the LCD screen? These sort of things don't really bother me but they do bother some of the heads I was conversing with last night. I thought I'd go public and ask (you) my Facebook friends what you all think. What's your "Two Cents"?

Maybe these sort of things should concern us/we/me/you depending on the person involved. It's a Brave New World!

Jahah: Live at The Indigo Bar

On February 18, 2012 I stepped foot in The Indigo Bar to perform for their Mama's Moonshine Event. I was the opening act and I decided to simplify my sound by only bringing a 3 piece band. The Indigo Bar is really intimate and I thought it might be cool if my crew and I left things kind of open...you know...so the audience could feel like they were a part of the performance. I also decided to bring some fellow musician friends/family on stage to rock with me impromptu style. Sharing the stage is cool!

Anyhow, we had a fun night and I was able to get my team The Feel/The Ingredient to film this event and I thought I'd share it with the world.

The clip above is a little over 30 minutes but I think you'll enjoy the vibes and carefree mood of our set. We just had fun and didn't over think things...that's the way it should be you know?

I hope you enjoy! Spread love!

Hip Hop Sound Radio Chart

I was sent this chart today reflecting where I stood on the hipsound.blogspot.com chart and felt rather great about landing at number 8.

You see, when people you've never met like and push your music you know there isn't any bias intent going on. There are no "Yes Men". My opinion is this: People you've never met don't care about whether or not they hurt your feelings. To them they either like what they hear or they don't. It's that simple. If it's dope to their ears they'll listen and play it. If it's wack to their ears...well...you know the rest.

Anyhow, I've been getting a lot of positive feedback (not to brag) about my song "Bare My Heart" and I just wanna thank everyone who has supported me over the years and my tune "BMH." I feel like something great is going to come out of this and I know God is doing some work behind the scenes to get me there.

Thanks to my team as well: Tony Reames, Jay Calvert, Shane Mills, Angelina Cook, Laci (the Fresh Coast), and brotha' Nsil for all the hard work you put in on my behalf. I don't take you for granted.

Chris Brown x Tha Bizness = Grammy

Last night was a great night for me in many ways! For one, I did my first radio interview for my forthcoming album Nostalgia BLACK and found out that Cathy from Maine has a little crush on me after hearing my song Bare My Heart. Secondly, my lil' cuz' (Henny from Tha Bizness) and his production partner Dow won a Grammy after Chris Brown received "Best R&B Album" for his latest "F.A.M.E. LP." You see, Tha Bizness produced the record "No Bullsh*t" and the rest is history!

If you'd like to check out Tha Bizness click here and peep their discography! These cats have been putting in work for a while and I'm very excited for them and what's to come. They have some big records brewing that you all are going to love!

Big up to my Fresh Coast brethren that continue to dream big! Tha Bizness production duo are living proof that nothing is impossible! I have officially become re-inspired!

Whitney Houston

I won't front, I've never purchased a Whitney Houston album but I have huge respect for her as a vocalists. Whitney was/is what all the American Idol and X-Factor contestants aspire to be! These contestants try to sing Whitney's song and never can really hit the notes she hit (i.e. I Will Always Love You). The first time I heard Whitney Houston was in the mid 80s while in Fremont, San Francisco via my pops. He played me "You Give Good Love" and to this day it's my favorite Whitney Houston song. God bless the Houston family and RIP Whitney. I pray God is with you.

Jahah: Bare My Heart on iTunes!

Above is the artwork for my single "Bare My Heart". It's not too complex but that's what you get when I create my own cover. I couldn't sit around and wait for a handout. I just went in and did it.

Anyway, "Bare My Heart" is officially on iTunes and all the other major online music distributors! This includes Amazon and Rhapsody etc.

I appreciate you all supporting my efforts and look forward to bringing you more music in the near future. God bless.

Jahah x 91.9

I've been getting "some" airplay on commercial radio with my song "Bare My Heart" and I found out that 91.9 is also playing my record. I'm a big fan of this station and respect the music that they play so I'm hoping I can get people to call in and request my song "Bare My Heart" (since they're already playing it...91.9).

The number to call is 404 880 9255.

Thanks in advance!

Shantis Atlanta Dymes Shoot x Jahah "Bare My Heart"

Big up to the homie Randal Dunn over at Atlanta Dymes for using my music as the back drop to Shantis's photo shoot! I'm honored to be involved and hope you all like what you see and hear when you click the play button. I know most of the fellas shouldn't be mad at all!

"Bare My Heart" will be available on Itunes tomorrow for those who like to support up and coming artist. Purchasing my song will only cost you one American dollar and I would be very appreciative if you did so! There are other ways to get this tune for the free-ski but I will not tell you how. I'm sure you know how to find out without me giving you any suggestions (smile).

Anyhow, have a blessed week and continue to spread love.
