JAHAH: Behind the Lense Directing Video's

This past Saturday I co-directed the second scene for a song entitled "Feels So Good". The artist behind the song has been produced by Timbaland and Dr. Dre to name a few.

When I was asked to contribute to this video I didn't realize how much fun the task at hand would be. Our first day of shooting was at a skate park in the 4th Ward (Atlanta) and then we took our talents to club Mingles (off Courtland) for the second scene.

Getting friends, associates, and extra's to participate in the second scene of this video was not as difficult as expected. I sent out a few text messages, phone calls, and Graigs Lists postings and it was on and poppin'!

I was happy to see a lot of people that I hadn't seen in awhile and I was elated with the turn out overall. The fact that everyone involved co-operated and took direction(s) without me having to say much speaks volumes. The ladies were very attentive and the fellas definitely left their ego's at the door. Sheeeiiit...there were plenty of beautiful women there so the fellas were probably "very" content with doing whatever I asked...just as long as they could be around the women. You already know how that goes...

Anyhow, I've been going through a lot behind the scene's so shooting this costume scene was a great escape for me. I realize that if I keep myself busy with music and directing videos, I tend not to over-think things that really bother me. My mind stays off of certain people and situations that I'd rather not elaborate on. This isn't the forum for me to vent my personal issues but I will tell you that I am fine. God is enormously great! I will continue to keep a poker face and roll with the punches.

The pictures you see above are of the talent and good people that came out to make a cameo in the video. Just peep me and Angela Davis (bottom pic). She kept me laughing and must have sinced that I wasn't myself because she told me that everything would be alright before the night was over. She said this out of the blue...She must think she knows me aye? Maybe the disgruntle feelings I sometimes have were written all over my face...who knows. I think it was probably the two shots that I had right before I took this picture! Yes, I was drinking on the job but I wasn't drunk! Never that...I'm disciplined 90% of the time. I don't let these beautiful breezy's sway me like that...nope.

Alright cha'll, I just wanted to share a little of my life with the people ( you all) that support my efforts. May God bless you all! Super God bless to everyone on the East Coast facing Miss Sandy! Dwell somewhere safe or get out of dodge.

Lana Del Rey "Ride"

I dunno man...this just spoke to me today. I dig the cinematic look of the short film and the vibe musically. I also like what Lana is saying. This (to me) is what I call art! It's not for everyone but it's definitely something I relate to (at the moment). Plus Lana is sexy through my eye's. Take a look for yourself.

Bob: Words of Wisdom:

“You may not be her first, her last, or her only. She loved before she may love again. But if she loves you now, what else matters? She's not perfect - you aren't either, and the two of you may never be perfect together but if she can make you laugh, cause you to think twice, and admit to being human and making mistakes, hold onto her and give her the most you can. She may not be thinking about you every second of the day, but she will give you a part of her that she knows you can break - her heart. So don't hurt her, don't change her, don't analyze and don't expect more than she can give. Smile when she makes you happy, let her know when she makes you mad, and miss her when she's not there.”

Nostalgia BLACK: Get Ready!

Hey, are you ready for some Soul? Damn it are you ready to hear some music that'll make you feel good inside like ya' mama's cooking? Better yet, are you ready to hear and consume an artist that sings from the heart and doesn't use pitch correction to make them sound like a got' damn' robot from the planet of "What Hell Is This Shit"?

Well if you're ready and feel good, open up your eye's and ear's to Jahah because I promise to bring you nothing but classic Soul and R&B with my new project Nostalgia BLACK!

The fact is, I did not produce and write this album with the thought of becoming rich off of it. I mean, if the money comes that will be an added plus! However, I know Euro-Pop is what's winning across the board right now. I'm not an idiot. I just know my heart (musically) is in a different space at the moment.

You see, I made this album for the fans of classic Soul and R&B music. The listener's over 25 (more than likely 30 now) who grew up on artists like Jodeci, Mary J Blidge, and the monster group Guy. This project Nostalgia BLACK is for my grown and sexy brotha's and sista's who make an honest living and don't mind going back to basics (or their roots) musically. I created and gave birth to this project for the sake "My Generation" and these little ones that are coming up now! This project is for the people!

If you're new to me (Jahah) and my sound or what I intend on bringing you musically...Please peep out my song and video "Bare My Heart". This particular record is a true testament to the sound I'm creating in the studio...It's only the beginning!

Nostalgia BLACK coming soon! Real Soon!
