Und das ist gut so – ein Umstand, dem aber allenthalben zu wenig positive Beachtung geschenkt wird. Nun ist es an der Zeit, die Kunde über ein bevorstehendes neues Album dieses Jahah zu verbreiten. “Nostalgia BLACK!” soll es genannt werden – “Happy” gibt ein erstes Hör-Beispiel ab. Sanft schlurfendes Tempo und eine deutliche Erinnerung an Tage, als Frankie Beverly uns mit ähnlich gelagertem Soul-Stoff in bequemer Gefühligkeit wiegen konnte.
