So yesterday I found out that I won "Best Score for a Horror Film" at the Los Angeles Horror Competition! This means I'm officially "legit" and I can add "Film Composer" to my resume with out looking back.
I haven't been scoring short films that long but it's definitely something I look forward to continuing. The inspiration is different and the actual creativity of it all is very challenging. I've that with scoring films...Less is more. There's a minimalist approach to scoring horror films. I'm thankful that director Tony Reames believed in me enough to even make an attempt at doing all the above. It was a great experience!
Alright, I'm getting back to work now! Lot's to do and rarely enough time.
